Presentation: “The Bot is Ready to Interview You Now”
Active job seekers apply to openings because it is easy, and it gives them hope. But companies have had to react to ever-increasing influxes of applicants. Initially, the applicant tracking system was introduced to weed out unqualified applicants. And now a new technology called asynchronous video interview (AVI) has been deployed to further sift through applicants and identify those who meet a company’s criteria.
The AVI is benefiting companies, but it raises a high hurdle for applicants. Furthermore, the AVI often incorporates artificial intelligence to rank applicants. This presentation describes interviewing with a machine, and it offers many tips for increasing your chances to be selected.
During the presentation, you will:
- Learn how to manage the technical aspects of video communication such as lighting, background, positioning of the camera, and use of a headset.
- Find out what’s important when interviewing with a machine.
- Get many tips for improving your current performance.
